1996 was the 200th anniversary of Robert Burns' death, and many events
and exhibitions were held to mark the occasion. Morgan's poem-sequence
'The Five-Pointed Star' was included in Love and liberty: Robert
Burns, a bicentenary celebration (Tuckwell Press, 1997).
Glasgow's Mitchell Library holds a large collection of Burns material,
including first editions, original manuscripts and letters, translations
of Burns into many languages, and much background and critical material
on the poet.
