In this item, Edwin Morgan has added in black ink a note
reading, "Hamish -- Further travels of the monster. -- Eddie. 10-1-1996",
and four lines from the Finnish epic Kalevala (51, ll.255-258):
Then the fearsome Finnish forest
Learned to laugh with Lemminkäinen.
Lingered he by lucky lakeside,
Made mouth music, mimicked monsters.
