Demon by Edwin Morgan

More about this item

A 32 page pamphlet featuring a 20-poem sequence in the voice of the unnamed titular demon.

Its contrary nature is outlined in the cover blurb – "in an age of angels a voice speaks up for the opposition" – and in the first line of the first poem which states, "my job is to rattle the bars".

The poems are also included in Cathures (Carcanet, 2002), and the Archive holds a private audio recording of Edwin Morgan reading the poems.
